The School of Sport Science, Exercise and Health are hosting another physical education studies professional development day following the success of our inaugural event in February 2011. As a response to your feedback, we are incorporating practical demonstrations covering each discipline in rotating sessions with associated cognate content followed by discussion. Leading UWA researchers will also be updating you on recent research and developments within the disciplines. The program and
registration forms are attached. All necessary materials and catering for the day will be provided.
We will also be taking the opportunity to invite you to the join the Physical Education Studies Teachers’ Association (PESTA) which has been formed to promote the teaching of Physical Education Studies (PES) and to foster the professional development of PES teachers. Information regarding the mission, aims and benefits of this association is attached.
We look forward to seeing you on the day.
If you have any queries or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact either Marion Bleakley or myself directly.
